Annette N. Koons, 82, longtime resident of Linn Grove, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born May 30, 1938, in Morehead, Kentucky to Robert and Priscilla (Lehman) Gerber, Jr. She was married October 28, 1955, in Geneva to Nolan D. Koons.
She was a member at First Baptist Church in Berne and also a member of the Modern Mrs. Club. She was a graduate of Geneva High School. She was a homemaker and a teacher at Victory Bible School.
She is survived by her three sons, James (Marsha) Koons of Ossian; Jeffery (Sondra) Koons of Berne; and Jason (Lisa) Koons of Huntington; two daughters, Jeralynn (Stanley) Reiber of Minneola, Florida; and Jolene Letanoksy of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; two brothers, Dan (Sharon) Gerber of Fort Wayne; and Joseph (Becky) Gerber of Lemon Grove, California; 13 grandchildren, Christen (Seth) Sprunger; Ashley (Jon) Fosnaugh; Bethany (Branden) Hensen; Kaitlynn (Rich Farmer) Tredway; David (Heaven) Vaughn; Erica (Kyle) Garlic; Brooklyn Letanosky; Emily (Trevor) Edris; Marissa Koons; Jacob Koons; and Grace Koons; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on September 14, 2014; twin granddaughters, Madison and Josie Letanosky; and a sister, Jean Spade.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3 from 1-3 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne. Burial will take place at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery in Linn Grove.
