Anna Schwartz

Anna E. Schwartz, 81 of Monroe, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at her residence. She was born Tuesday, March 24, 1942, in Decatur as the first born child of Peter A. and Elizabeth M. (Schwartz) Schwartz.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish and a devoted homemaker.
She is survived by four brothers, Peter E. (Josephine) Schwartz and Amos E. (Maryann) Schwartz of Geneva; Emanuel E. (Emma) Schwartz of Monroe; and Daniel E. (Mary) Schwartz of Berne; seven sisters, Maggie E. (Levi) Schwartz, Josephine E. (Noah), Salome E. (Melvin) Schwartz, Fannie E. (Willie) Schwartz and Rosie E. (Samuel) Schwartz of Monroe; Katie E. (Eli) Weaver of Bluffton; and Barbara E. Schwartz of Geneva; one brother-in-law, Peter A. Schwartz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Lydia Schwartz; sister, Elizabeth E. Schwartz; and brother-in-law, Nathaniel M. Schwartz.
Visitation was from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20 and will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at the Pete J. Schwartz residence, 1333 S. 100 E., Monroe. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 23 at the Pete J. Schwartz residence with Bishop Joe J.E. Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow at Winchester Cemetery in rural Monroe.
