Amos B. Coblentz

Amos B. Coblentz, 56, of rural Berne passed away at 3:55 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born on October 30, 1961 in Adams County to Ben A. and Elizabeth (Graber) Coblentz. He was married on September 1, 1983 to Nancy Hilty.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish. He was a farmer and worked construction.

He is survived by his wife of rural Berne; two sons, Ben (Lovina) Coblentz of Monroe; and Sam Coblentz of Berne; eight daughters, Susan (Joel) Graber of LaGrange; Arlene (Robert) Schwartz of Kentucky; Marlene (Chris) Troyer of Bluffton; Lovina (Benjamin) Schwartz of Monroe; and Elizabeth (Paul) Graber; Mary Jane (Amos) Graber; Lisa (Matthew) Schwartz; and Laura Coblentz, all of Berne; brother, Albert (Sarah Irene) Coblentz of LaGrange; six sisters, Leah (Paul) Shetler of Monroe; Elizabeth (Levi) Wengerd of Geneva; and Verena Coblentz; Lovina (Joe) Eicher; Emma (Jacob) Schwartz; and Susan Coblentz, all of Burr Oak, Michigan; and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation was from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1 and will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2 at his residence, 1455W 350S, Berne. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3 at the residence. Officiating will be Marvin Hilty. Burial will be at Schwartz Cemetery in rural Berne.
