Warmer weather spurs increased planting surge

The warmer weather of the past few days has finally brought about what area fields have needed for several weeks, significant warming. Lehman Feed Mill’s Jeff Lehman said that what was planted was sluggish in growing through chilly soil and ground has been slow to be prepared for planting because temperatures averaging nearly four degrees below normal for the first three weeks of May have slowed evaporation needed for farmers to get into fields.
