Southern Adams Boy Scouts hike 50 miles of Appalachian Trail
Four members of Boy Scouts Troop 67 of Southern Adams County and their dads recently hiked a 52-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail. The group consisted of Scoutmaster Alan Etzkorn and his son Evan, Trevor and Nate Wilson and their dad Mike, and Zachariah Herman and his dad Lynn. They began their journey by boarding a train on June 2 at 10:00 p.m. in Waterloo and headed for Harpers Ferry, WV, where they planned to pick up the trail upon arrival.
