Leak at Monmouth spikes water usage

It only took one significant leak at the former Monmouth School, now the new Christian school Three Oaks Academy, to cause the amount of water treated at the transfer station to increase by 100,000 gallons and the bill to go up $1,000. Barry Scherer, superintendent of the Adams County Regional Sewer Water District, was called out on the afternoon of June 21 regarding a leak in the basement of the former Monmouth School building owned by Brent Arnold.
