Flash drought concerns weather service, says McCoy

Van Wert County EMA director Rick McCoy, who also connects with the National Weather Service, said earlier this week that officials are closely watching the details of the current intense heat wave for danger signals of a potential flash drought. McCoy said that weather officials are looking at the continuing heatwave to see if such a watch or warning would be necessary.
