Body pulled from Wabash River identified

The body of a woman pulled from the Wabash River Tuesday morning on the north edge of Geneva in Adams County has been identified, according to information released by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Thursday. The body was that of Melissa R. Vickers, 39, of Decatur and was reported when a passerby noticed the body and called 911. Vickers was reported missing March 12. Cause of death is still unknown as the DNR did not have the autopsy report back. No other information was immediately available, and the DNR investigation is still ongoing.
