William Ehrsam

William J. “Bill” Ehrsam, 93, of Decatur passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur. He was born Aug. 22, 1930, to William and Tillie (Klopfenstein) Ehrsam. He was married Nov. 8, 1957, to Bonnie Custer.
He was a graduate of Monroe High School. He was an avid golfer and supporter of Adams Central athletics. He attended Monroe Lighthouse Church. He retired from Zollner’s in Fort Wayne and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Lou (Fred) Yoder of Berne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Glen “Mike” Ehrsam; Catherine Roudebush; Alice M. Roudebush; and Robert Lee “Jim” Ehrsam
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Aug. 27 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur. Officiating will be Pastor Troy Green and Pastor David Myers. Burial will be at Ray Cemetery. Military gravesite rites will be provided by American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard.
