Shannon Joy Willis, 44, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018. She was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on March 12, 1974; daughter of Randall (Diane) Rensberry and Deborah (Jim) Scott and younger sister of Stacy (Brett) Garner. She moved to Indiana in 1986 and graduated from Huntington North High School in 1992.
Shannon was truly a joy. She was a beautiful and outgoing woman who was admired by nearly everyone who met her. She had a strong, selfless nature and a smile that could light up any room. She was a wonderful mother and often said that her greatest accomplishment was her four children: Braxton, Sydney, Jocelyn, and Ellery. Their father is Brandon Willis, Shannon’s high school sweetheart. Braxton Cain is a member of the United States Air Force and lives in Marysville, California with his wife, Briana, and son, Brayden. They have a baby girl on the way as well. Sydney Joy is an English writing student and member of the women’s golf team at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Jocelyn Faith is a rising freshman and tri-sport athlete at South Adams High School. She has her mother’s beautiful smile. Ellery Sienna is a student at South Adams Elementary School. She carries her mother’s strong, joyful spirit. She is an avid reader and loves to play outside.
She is survived by her parents, children, grandson, and sister, as well as many other family members and countless friends.
May her loving spirit live on within us all.
