Judith Collins

Judith K. “Judy” Collins, 74, of Decatur passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones at her residence after her battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 13, 1948, in Decatur to Charles Edward and Neva Deloris (Cook) Workinger. She was married July 9, 1967, to Ron L. Collins.
She drove school bus for Adams Central School for 43 years and drove Amish school children for the last 20 years. She attended the Monroe Lighthouse Church. She loved life to the fullest. She had an adventurous spirit and loved every person she met. She lived life for her family. She also loved horses, enjoyed spending time at Oliver Lake and with her Whiner friends.
She is survived by her husband of Decatur; son, James Edward “Jimmy” (Rebecca Lynn “Becky”) Collins of Decatur; daughter, Rhonda Mary (Robert) Chavarria of Van Wert, Ohio; brother, Gary Lee (Arlene Ann) Workinger of Monroe; sister, Patricia “Pat” (Dan) Michaels of Monroe; 10 grandchildren, Jon (Sheena) Collins; Jenson (Cassy) Collins; Kaylee (Caleb) Gaiser; Kyndall (Ryan) Stucky; Karly Prichard; Kelsey Prichard; Nathan (Chelsey) Chavarria; Jessica (Keston) Schneider; John (Betty) Charvarria; and Jacob (Emily) Chavarria; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, July 29 from 1-8 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Saturday, July 30 at Monroe Lighthouse Church. Officiating will be Pastor David Myers.
Memorials may be made to The Lighthouse Church or Adams Central School.
