Jerry Grabau

Jerry D. Grabau, 81, of Geneva passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at 11:12 p.m. at home. He was born Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1942, in Rochester, Minnesota to Leo and Olive (Mensink) Grabau. He was married Saturday, July 26, 1969, in Berne to Tonya Dee Mosser.
He was a 1962 graduate of Spring Valley High School in Minnesota. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Berne where he served on various boards. He was a professional truck driver for 50 years and had driven over one million miles. He served on the MRE Cemetery Board and enjoyed woodworking and being on the farm watching the chickens, horses and cows.
He is survived by his wife of Geneva; son, Chad Dale (Pam) Grabau of Berne; daughter, Robin Renee (Brian) Guzman of Salem, Oregon; eight grandchildren, Jared Grabau; and Josie Grabau, both of Berne; Julia (Landis) Hollingsworth of Pendleton; Zach (Jordyn) Grabau of Decatur; Kylie Grabau of Fort Wayne; Austin Grabau of Savannah, Georgia; Viola Laufer of Los Angeles, California; and Hans Laufer of Fort Worth, Texas; and brother, Steve Grabau of Rochester, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd Grabau; sister, Marlyce Grabau; and brother, Jim Grabau.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the celebration of life service Saturday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1217 Clark St., Berne. Officiating will be Rev. Barry Humble.
