Evan Brunner

Evan Hugh Brunner, 94, of Findlay, Ohio, formerly a resident of Adams County, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at 9:40 a.m. at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio. He was born Wednesday, June 27, 1928, in Geneva to Noah Martin and Hattie Christine (Yaney) Brunner. He was married Dec. 24, 1948, in Jay City to Helen J. Patterson.
He attended Jefferson Township High School. He was a bulk truck delivery man and a bulk fuel deliverer for Marathon Oil Company and a chemical deliverer for Helena Chemical. He was a member of the West Missionary Church in Berne. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, listening to Guy Lombardo, motorcycling, spending winters in Florida and watching the Cincinnati Reds.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela K. Heimann of Findlay, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jason C. Burry; Woody T. (Katie Hostler) Heimann; and Erin A. (Cole) Hassan; three great-grandchildren, Ava J. Hassan; Brier A. Hassan; and Owen M. Hassan; sister, Cleola Teeple of Fort Wayne; and four nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and daughter, Jana D. Burry.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 3 p.m. funeral service Saturday, March 18 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Mattox. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
