Clyde Wulliman

Clyde Don Wulliman, 79, of Berne passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sunday, Nov. 14, 1943, in Berne to Fred Curtis and Gertrude M. (Sprunger) Wulliman. He was married Feb. 27, 1971, at First Mennonite Church in Berne to Marjorie Jean Lehman. They celebrated 52 years together.
He honorably served his country in the Air National Guard for 20 years. He was a faithful member of First Mennonite Church in Berne and sang in the chancel choir. Prior to moving back to Berne, he was an active member of Tillman Road Church of God in Fort Wayne for 40 years.
In his younger years, he engaged in farming for several years. For the majority of his working career, he was a talented self-employed upholsterer. Throughout his lifetime, he and his wife were licensed real estate agents together enjoying investing in real estate and various other ventures.
Over the years, they enjoyed traveling. He found enjoyment in searching and looking at antiques as well as collecting coins and stamps. In his spare time, he found joy playing pool and card games valuing the social aspect of the group. Above all, faith and family was the central part of his life. Throughout the years, he made a positive impact as a mentor and father figure to numerous children over the years.
He is survived by his wife of Berne; two sons, Wade A. (Kelly) Wulliman of Murphy, Texas; and S. Clay (Annie) Wulliman of Coldwater, Michigan; two brothers, Curtis Van (Sharon) Wulliman; and Roscoe Wulliman, both of Berne; four sisters, Roberta Pauline Bertsch of Valparaiso; and Joyce Wilkins; Grace (Ron) Claghorn; and Gyneth (Mike) Sutton, all of Berne; and four grandchildren, Anika Jean (Jake) Payne; Enya Joy Wulliman; Ethan Clay Wulliman; and Abbie Elizabeth Thatcher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters-in-law, Lois Wulliman; and Connie Wulliman; and brother-in-law, Tom Wilkins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8 from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Thursday, March 9 at First Mennonite Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Linthicum and Pastor Jim Schwartz. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in rural Berne.
