Community Development Corporation to place new gateway sign

Thanks to the efforts of the Berne Community Development Corporation, a new Gateway sign will be placed on the city’s west side, replacing the one that is currently there. In an abbreviated meeting, Dr. Scott Bixler, representing the corporation noted that the new sign will cost $12,200. Bixler said that the corporation was requesting for the city to pay $8,000 of the cost and the development corporation would pay for the rest.
