Lucrecia E. Minnich

Lucrecia Ellen Minnich, 87, former longtime resident of rural Willshire, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on October 9, 1930 in Union Township, Adams County to Alva K. and Bertha A. (Welty) Burger. She was married on October 9, 1949 in Adams County to Harold A. Minnich.

She was a member of Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene. She was also part of the Missionary Society. She graduated from Monmouth High School in 1948. She worked at Meshberger Bros. Stone Corporation for 15 years, before retiring in 1995. She enjoyed watching birds and flowers, coin collecting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Dan (Janet) Minnich of Willshire, Ohio; and Stan (Cindy) Minnich of Geneva; daughter, Julie (Kevin) Moss of Inman, South Carolina; sister, Annie Fleming of Decatur; sister-in-law, Betty Burger of Decatur; ten grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Jahnke; Marcia (Jeff) Kish; Kit (Shelby) Minnich; Lucus (Melissa) Minnich; Patrick (Ashley) Minnich; Grant (Terri) Minnich; Ben (Andrea) Minnich; Rev. Emily (James) Compton; Ryan Moss; and Kyla Moss; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 19, 2018; eight brothers, Freddie in infancy; Frank, Wayne, Harold, Theodore, Bryce, John and Robert M. Burger; and seven sisters, Norma Burger; Pearl Worthman; Francile Harvey; Ruth Suman; Marguarite Carpenter; Mary Shifferly; and Rosa Fox.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 12:00 p.m. celebration of life service on Saturday, July 7 at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene, 5005E 500S, Berne. Officiating will be Pastor David Cox and Pastor Emily Compton. Burial will be Mt. Hope Cemetery in Berne.
