Paul A. Rogers, Jr.

Paul A. “Junior” Rogers, Jr., 54, of Rockville passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016. He was born on March 23, 1962 in Indianapolis to Paul A. and Helga (Lehrle) Rogers, Sr. He was married on July 20, 1991 to Sheila A. Nevil.

He was the superintendent for Lawrence Street Department for many years. He was a member of IVFAA. He loved classic cars and car shows, WWII era airplanes and movies, boating with family and friends, hosting the annual Fourth of July party in his backyard, and most of all, spending time with his wife and children.

He is survived by his parents; his wife; two daughters, Amanda and Kimberly Rogers; mother-in-law, Joyce Nevil; brother, William (Sheila) Rogers; two sisters, Jackie (Jim) Jackson; and Kristy (Bill) Nelson; sister-in-law, Tonya Nevil; three nieces, Chelsea Rogers; Rachel Jackson; and Kelsey Carlisle; and four nephews, Michael Rogers; James Parish; Alex Carlisle; and James Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ivan Nevil; and nephew, Bryan Fentz.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25 and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Friday, August 26 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Westlawn-Pyle Cemetery in Geneva.
