Kevin E. Paxson, 64, of Geneva, died at 12:44 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born Sunday, March 22, 1953 in Portland to Fred and Doris (Nixon) Paxson. He married Darlene Kay Younger on Saturday, March 6, 2004 in Little Nashville.
He was a graduate of Pennville High School and attended Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a mechanic and body shop operator and was a member of the Berne American Legion Post #468. He enjoyed gardening, working on vehicles and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas Paxson of Hartford City; and Adam (Holly) Koehler of Cape Coral, Florida; two daughters, Jennifer Kinsey of Muncie; and Amie (Matt) Baumgartner of Berne; sister, Deborah Hummer of Marion; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St. in Geneva, with visitation two hours prior. Rev. Wilbur Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Geneva with military graveside rites by Berne American Legion Post #468.
