Hettie J. Stauffer

Hettie Jill Stauffer, 68, of Fort Wayne died on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in Fort Wayne. She was born on December 12, 1947 to Carl and Blanche (Hall) Hardin. She was married to Christian L. Stauffer.

She was raised in Marion and graduated from Taylor University, class of 1969. She faithfully served as a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 25 years; 12 years at Faith Academy in Manila Phillippines, three years at West Nairobi School in Kenya, and in Fort Wayne for the last 10 years. She was a member of Brookside Church in Fort Wayne.

She is survived by her two daughters, Stacy (Robert) Hirschelman of Fort Wayne; and Julie Stauffer of Jackson, Tennessee; two sons, Mark (Jodi) Stauffer of Memphis, Tennessee; and Gary (Paula) Stauffer of Fort Wayne; and six grandchildren, Kyle and Cali Hirschelman; Tristan and Aubrey Stauffer; and Charles and Elsie Stauffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in 2006.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 3:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, June 10 at Brookside Church, 6102 Evard Rd, Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Perry Township Cemetery in Huntertown at a later date.
