Charles K. Nagel

Charles K. Nagel, 83, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016. He was born on April 24, 1933 in Berne to C. August and Anna “Ruth” (Hofstetter) Nagel. He was married to Bonnie M. Nagel, who preceded him in death. He was then married to Barbara Dunnigan.

He was a devoted father and husband and entrepreneur of the family business, Panel Center, for 46 years. He was a generous and loving man who was greatly respected by all his employees. He loved music and supported Vaud-villities and the Gay Men’s Chorus. He was an avid fan and supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Ben (Joann) Nagel; and Tim Nagel; daughter, Pat (Mark) Taylor; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Jessica Nagel; brother, Conrad (Lena) Nagel; sister, Claudette (Fred) Stauffer; sister-in-law, Florence Shaffer; longtime friend, Ben Sprunger; and many more friends and extend family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be half an hour prior to the 12:00 p.m. memorial service on Sunday, September 18 at First Mennonite Church, 566 W. Main St., Berne. There will be a gathering following the memorial service.

Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Choral Society, Swiss Village Retirement Community, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
