Annabelle M. Parrett

Annabelle M. Parrett, 91, of Berne passed away at 2:49 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on Sunday, July 25, 1926, in Geneva to James E. and Ruth (Callihan) Mann. She was married on Sunday, May 23, 1948 in Geneva to Meredith H. Parrett.

She attended Geneva High School. She had been a member of the High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva since 1956, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She had been the Geneva town clerk and had also been a teller for many years at the Bank of Geneva.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dianne K. Parrett of Berne; brother, Tom (Dorothy) Weaver of Geneva; and five grandchildren, Mitchell Parrett; and Randy Taylor, both of Bluffton; Lisa Parrett; and Teresa (Richard) Betz, both of Decatur; and Scott (Stephanie) Taylor of Corunna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on March 6, 1957; son, Roger Dean Parrett; sister, Donna Jean Stucky.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 3:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, May 5 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Flueckinger. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
