Expanded background checks coming to South Adams

According to South Adams superintendent Scott Litwiller, background checks will get a little more complicated for the new school year. Litwiller updated the school board on upcoming changes during its Monday meeting. In past years, the school has been required to obtain an expanded criminal history check, which includes a search of records from all Indiana counties and all counties in other states in which the applicant has resided, a search of the national sex offender registry, and verification of the applicant’s identity and a search for all names associated with the applicant.
